
The Farm of Kalblin is located on the Alsatian slope of the Vosges at 700m of altitude on the heights of the village of Fréland at the place says Kalblin. It counts 2 hectares planted primarily of orchards and pieces of medicinal plants alternate. (to download the plan of access)
Gatherings in the meadows, waste lands and forests surrounding come to supplement the range of the plants and fruits cultivated with the farm. History:
1968 - Creation of the Farm by Michelle and Georges Wurtz pioneers of the biodynamy:
Grubbing and setting in agrobiologic culture of the grounds. Plantation of the orchard intended for distillation. Production of brandies Martin Wurtz.
1984 - First medicinal plants:
Culture of plants for Ricola and Bioforce. Gathering of wild plants for Swiss herb trades.
1987 - The choice of quality:

1989 - Installation in the new farm
Statute of farmer (family help before). Installation of new cultures.
1990 - Control of marketing.
All the production is conditioned with the farm and is sold under Firm name the of Kalblin . European schedule of conditions of the organic farming (Ecocert control).
1991 - Arrival of Marie-Claude and development of the workshop of jams.
Since - Improvements of the ecological alternative and production equipment.
1997 - Installation of the workshop of transformation to standards the EEC
1998 - National price of Management of the Farms of Banque Populaire
2001 - Money farmer for syrup of bud of fir tree to Farm the Paris Living room
2002 - Heating and warm water by solar energy.
2006 - Creation of the limited liability company Savour and Bio Freshness with 7 other producers to market Bio baskets in the work's councils of the area.
2007 - A fire entirely devastates the Farm of Kalblin. Marie-Claude and Serge with the assistance of their family and their friends move temporarily in a lodging and go up their company in order to continue their activity
2008 - Creation project of a new collective store of direct sales in Kochesberg, beginning of the rebuilding of the farm to follow
The specificity of Kalblin:
For us, it goes from either that a medicinal plant could not be cultivated differently than according to the principles of the organic farming, and they are quite naturally, the grounds of the farm not having never undergone chemical treatments, than the cultures settled in the continuity of this step.
The nature and the exposure of the grounds, the choice of the plants, the practice of certain principles of the biodynamy allowed little by little thanks to the observation and a certain experiment, to obtain plants and therapeutic and gustatory fruits of high-quality.
